Pricing and ways to work

Most work is quoted by project or arranged as ongoing support, depending on the scope, source material, complexity and timescale.

How pricing works

For smaller editing, rewriting or ad hoc work, an hourly rate may be used. Larger pieces, ghostwriting projects and ongoing support are usually agreed as project or monthly fees.

Ad hoc editing and rewriting

Useful for shorter pieces, AI-assisted drafts, existing content that needs improving, or small pieces of writing support.

Project-based writing

Best for defined pieces of work such as thought leadership articles, case studies, website copy or content refreshes.

Ongoing support

For agencies, businesses or business leaders who need regular writing help, repeat content or reliable white-label support.

What affects the quote

Pricing depends on the type of content, the amount of source material provided, the level of research needed, the review process and how quickly the work is needed.

A short brief is usually enough to start with. Once I understand the content type, audience, timescale and source material, I can suggest the most sensible way to price the work.
